The company would like to announce that Tony Posawatz has been appointed as Zapp’s Board Advisor.
Tony Posawatz, P. E., is currently President/CEO of Invictus iCAR (innovation Consulting Advisory Resources); focusing on automotive-tech company advancement. Was formerly the Executive-in-Charge of Global Electric Vehicle Development & Vehicle Line Director, Chevrolet Volt at General Motors (GM). He also served as the President/CEO of Fisker Automotive, and is a Board Director of several auto-tech companies (Lucid Motors, Metalsa, INRIX, Nexeon, Spiers New Technologies (SNT), SemaConnect, Beam Global (BEEM), Renovo Auto), and an Advisor/Advisory Board member for Trilantic Capital Partners, Fermata Energy, Zapp Scooters, Secure America’s Future Energy – SAFE Electrification Coalition.
Tony is considered a leader on the future of mobility, electric drive EV ecosystem, automotive innovation and integration of future transportation technologies – ACES (Autonomous, Connected, Electric, Shared).

An automotive professional with nearly 40 years of industry experience, Posawatz is best known for many product innovations, leading his product development teams to numerous awards including both Motor Trend “Truck of the Year” & “Car of the Year” honours and many industry firsts. His product/general management experience extends to leadership with GM’s “Fortune 25” Full-size truck business, initiating new brands like Escalade & Avalanche (as well as Volt which retired as all-time US plug-in sales leader, Ampera, ELR for cars) and creating new industry segments like 4-door, short-box trucks, large luxury SUV’s as well as pioneering electric drive.
Tony has also been recognised as an Automotive News All-Star & Detroit Free Press Automotive Leadership Award winner among other awards and served as Chairman, Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA). He was a GM Undergraduate Scholar (BSME – Wayne State University, 1982) and GM Graduate Fellow (MBA – Dartmouth College, Tuck School of Business, 1986) along with receiving (8) GM Chairman’s Honours Awards. Former ODP soccer player who enjoys coaching/mentoring youth.

Zapp had earlier appointed Summit Group, one of the Southeast Asia’s largest automotive Tier-1s, as the contract assembler for the i300, and is currently working with Summit Group to deliver the first batch of i300s to customers later this year.
